I bought this one - it is an NFT and physical piece together:

When you get the physical piece it has a code to redeem the NFT. It was bought with a credit card instead of Ethereum or other types of cryptocurrency.

VeVe is another company taking Marvel comics and DC statues and turning them in NFTs. You might see some familiar art here and you can be assured that VeVe is paying out a licensing royalty and the original artists are not participating in that. They launched a James Bond NFT to coincide with the new movie and a Spider-Man exclusive for New York Comic-Con. Read more.

The big story is in Blockchain gaming - the 2 titans of gaming Steam and Epic has each of them taking a side. This is a big deal as NFTs and Blockchain gaming is seen as the future and if the Big 2 aren’t on board it might lessen the power of the Web3 metaverse. But Epic - which owns Fortnite - is on board. I attended DC Fandome - an online event promoting DC’s entertainment releases (no comic news) and they worked with PalmNFT to give everyone a free NFT just by registering - here is the one I got:

They had a few different characters they randomly sent you and if you tweeted it out you got another one. This is one of the best ways to get collectors into digital collectibles I have seen so far. 500K people watched the YouTube stream and that was one of a few ways to watch DC Fandome so extrapolate a small percentage of that to see how many of these are out in the wild and how many will continue to collect them.
